Decor is where a family spends months of planning and a large part of the budget, and it often gets only a few rushed photographs. Good wedding decor photography in Indore records the mandap, the entrance, the stage and the table settings before guests fill the space. Here is how we approach it.
Photograph the decor before the guests arrive
Empty venues look their best in the hour before the function starts. We ask the planner for a short window to shoot the mandap, the entrance and the seating without people. That one slot gives you clean frames the decorator and the family will keep.
Use the light that is already in the room
Fairy lights, candles and marigold garlands have their own glow. We switch off harsh overhead lights when we can and use a low shutter speed on a steady tripod, so the warm tones stay natural instead of looking flat under flash.
Shoot wide, then close
- Wide frames show the full set-up and how it sits in the venue.
- Medium frames capture the mandap, stage and photo backdrop.
- Close frames pick out flowers, fabrics, name boards and small handmade details.
Add people for scale and feeling
Once the decor is recorded, we come back to it during the function. A bride walking through the floral entrance or a grandmother sitting under the mandap tells the story better than an empty set alone.
Share the plan with your decorator
Tell your decorator which areas matter most for photographs, and ask them to finish the key set-ups early. A decor team that is ready thirty minutes ahead gives us the time to do this properly.
