A classic car is one of the most loved props for a pre-wedding shoot. It gives the couple a reason to sit close, a frame to play with and a feeling of old-world romance. A vintage car pre-wedding shoot looks effortless in the photographs, but it needs some planning behind the scenes. Here is how we plan it for Indore couples.
Choose the car and the road together
Pick a car whose colour works with your outfits. A black car suits light pastels and gold, while a red or cream car suits darker tones. Then choose a quiet road with trees or open land, because a busy road limits the angles and the time.
Book the owner for the full session
Confirm the rental hours, the driver and any rules about food, shoes and stunts. Ask whether the roof can be opened and whether you can sit on the seats and bonnet. Clear answers early avoid awkward moments on the day.
Use the golden hour
- Early morning or late afternoon light is soft and flattering on the car body.
- Avoid midday, when glare on glass and chrome can ruin the frames.
- Arrive a little early so the car is clean and parked in the right spot before the light is perfect.
Plan the poses
Sit in the front seat, lean on the door, walk beside the car, or stand with the bonnet behind you. Move between small poses rather than holding one for a long time. The relaxed frames between poses are often the best.
Think about outfits and comfort
Long gowns and dupattas can catch in car doors, so rehearse the entry and exit once. Wear comfortable shoes for walking on the road and keep a small bag with water and touch-up items.
